What to do in one weekend…Part 2 & 3

Day two and we are ready for action! We spent most of the day chilled out visiting museums. We spent the morning in the Musée d’Orsay checking out a bit of Monet and Degas and then we headed to the Musée Marmottan Monet, which I would definitely recommend if you like a bit of Monet: the exhibit includes some of his last paintings.

Something that we didn’t manage to do was go the the Georges Pompidou Museum, which holds a lot of more modern art, but not to look at the art as by this time we were museum-pooped, but, there is a really great view from the top! I think Pompidou’s last entry is at 20h, so better to get there early unlike us! Enough views for one day, we headed over to Place Monge for food!

Day three dragged me to work and left my mum to visit the Musée de l’Orangerie, which she loved; and had already bought a double ticket from the Orsay for the two museums…bargain! Not long until the flight back we moseyed (Is that even a word!) along the tourist shops and had lunch in Monmartre, another spectacular view to go see!
